The Central Coast has done it again.
We are continuing to put ourselves on the map with another local festival. Unlike our other new
festival – Long Jetty Festival – this one has a familiar smell to it.
Rolling Sets Festival.

On the 9 th of December, for the second consecutive year, The Entrance is bringing beats, brews and a
belter of a night to this ‘tweener region.

This year is already shaping up to be a special one. With the lineup including some Aussie music
powerhouses – Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane, The Jungle Giants, Sycco, The Dreggs, The Terrys –
accompanied by some local talents – The Moving Stills, Stupid Baby, Voider, Soda Simulator,
Deadshowws, Rage, Classica – this absolutely STACKED lineup is ready to have the north side of the
coast singing into the summer evening.

This is another chance for the coast to showcase what we have been creatively cooking in our neck
of the woods. The coastie bands that are already a part of the lineup are just scratching the surface.
We all know what this place has hiding all over.

(This is the part of the post where I want to strip away some of the grammatical grandeur, and just
speak to you: the artists and dreamers reading this. Think of this as a pep talk that I think is
necessary.)

Ya see. Central Coast Music and Arts (CCMA) are hosting a competition. Neigh. An opportunity. A
HUGE opportunity. For a coastie artist or band to come along, strut their stuff, and stand shoulder to
shoulder with some of the venerable talent that this festival will be hosting.

CCMA will take all the submissions and select finalists themselves. Those finalists then go to a public
vote that is run through social media posts for the opening set.

Better yet, Triple J has backed the festival this year. Which in turn has huge implications for national
coverage! And I don’t need to tell how lifechanging a possibility that is.

I have been watching people in this community for a long while now, and as much as I have talked
about how much talent is involved with Rolling Sets already, I KNOW that there are some of you out
there that have not been as lucky. Some of you pouring hours and hours into art, without anyone
being able to see it. We want to see that art. SHOW US THE ART!
Please!

Keep your eyes peeled on the CCMA and Rolling Sets’ socials for any additional information.
We all want to see what you’ve got!
