The Bathtub Gin Orchestra is two parts 1920s stomp, one-part early 1930s swing, and a generous splash of French and Gypsy Jazz. Pour contents into an iron bathtub and stir with a broom handle and drink in the good vibes of the party music of the early 20th Century.
Expect the Bathtub Gin Orchestra to enliven the house, bringing zany energy to upbeat swing standards, clarinet features and sweet melodic favourites. Their hot jazz repertoire includes Django Reinhardt classics.
This swinging sextet comprises Phoebe Haselden on violin/vocals, Morgan Haselden guitar/vocals, Dorian Mode piano/vocals, Brendan Berlach saxophone/clarinet, Fiona Lugg double bass and Toby Hall on drumset.
