Described by Scenestr magazine as “Oasis meets Jack Johnson with Chris Cornell feels,” CB Ghost is an original beast (or Ghost), carving out his own space in the Australian music scene.

Now, his debut album Mayhemic drops May 9 on all streaming platforms—plus limited edition vinyl and CD. To celebrate, his full band’s hitting the stage at Long Jetty Hotel that Friday night with the incredible Stand-Up Gentlemen and the incomparable Goblet.

With his band of “Merry Ghosts,” CB has quietly been building musical momentum. His first four singles—Hollywood Hills, Hold Down Hymn, Beautiful Middle Finger, and the new High on Elm & Vine—have racked up close to 100,000 streams, paired with atmospheric video clips that bring the songs to life.

The record lives up to its name—ranging from Dylan-esque melancholy on Garage Restitution, to foot-stomping bangers like One Wave at a Time, sea-shanty-style duets like Anchor, and closing with a full-throttle cover of 80s punk classic Carry Me Home by The Slaves (originally penned by Rik L. Rik).
