COUNTRY FAIR
Sat 18th of October!
Enjoy a fantastic day out for the whole family in the Central Coast hinterland at the annual Mangrove Mountain and Districts Country Fair on SATURDAY 18th October. Come along, meet up with friends and have some fun!
Check out the amazing animal exhibits, including the BeeZeebo which allows you to get close to the action to inspect a bee hive. Or meet the Bunny Lady and learn everything about keeping your bunnies healthy and happy. We will have Clydesdale horses, Benny our local performing donkey, cattle, an alpaca, informative sheep-shearing demonstrations on the hour, a reptile show, our Country Fair grown-up pigs and returning to the fair after a brief layoff, the famous Chicken Races!
New rides – a very tall climbing rock-wall, a high-swinging pirate ship and, of course, a jumping castle and pony rides.
We’ll have loads of exhibits from vintage tractors, cars, farm machinery, and lots of information tents and demonstrations. The Dark Ages Huscarls will be demonstrating their sword-fighting. We’ll have lots of amazing arts, crafts, and yummy foods for sale by various local CWA groups, as well as our delicious food, cold drinks, coffee, slushies, fruit salad and cakes for sale – all prepared by our amazing volunteers who man the stalls every year to make the Country Fair Day such a terrific day for all.
Don’t miss the bargains at our plant stall and local produce stall, and for the kids, you can’t go past the showbags, lucky dips, and face-painting stalls. And don’t forget the Circus classes where you can learn all the tricks from Roundabout Circus!
Our entertainment acts throughout the day across three stages are simply outstanding this year. So pull up a chair and sit the under gum trees and enjoy!
Kicking off the day’s entertainment, our local children will proudly perform their songs and play their music on the stage. They’ll be followed by local teen singer sensation, Ameliya, Then dust off your boots, get up and learn how to bootscoot with local instructor Lyn Booth, and the Coastal Slickers line dancers.
Then it’s time for our fabulous duo’s and bands to take the stage, with rising Country Music star, Jasmine Sparkes, followed by the amazing Two Tone Pony band featuring Slim Dusty’s son David Kirkpatrick! performing on the Main Stage. Then cruise into the afternoon with Award winning Country music artist, Cortney Keil, Followed by an 10 piece big band Jazz and Funk extravaganza straight outta Sydney – Exploding Happiness!!! Also, between our acoustic Waratah Stage performers, Mick Gandy’s Country Music, and for the first time, the amazing interactive Artistry on Wheels caravan stage where you can help create a collective mandala, listen to Samba and join in African drumming circle, we’ll have a huge variety of entertainment and musical styles for you to listen to and engage with throughout the day!

And what is the purpose of the Country Fair? To bring the community together in a positive, collaborative and unique way, to offer a free family fun day for all to enjoy, and to raise funds for our local community groups, without whom our Fair would not be the event and success that it is.

9am till 3pm on Saturday the 18th of October at the historic Mangrove Mountain Hall and recreation reserve. Just a 25 minute drive from Gosford or Wyong, or 1hr from Sydney or Newcastle.
