SUMMARY:ART EXHIBITION – Opacity – FT. Kels Watkins
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition explores coexistence through overlapping spaces and perspectives\, imagining a transparent world where lives intersect simultaneously\, revealing the transient rhythms that connect human experience. \nWe traverse time in the same instant – the present. It’s a shared experience\, but everyone lives and processes it in different ways. We’re living in a simultaneous world\, from a singular perspective. What if we could turn down the opacity around us and see through buildings\, witnessing the complexities of coexistence? ‘Opacity – Living in Layers’\, imagines this world\, where spaces and faces fold through one another\, celebrating the transient rhythms that connect our perspectives. \nOpening event: Wednesday 3rd June 2026\, doors open 5\,30pm\, entry is free with RSVP. \nKels Watkins is a Central Coast based artist\, working primarily in oil on canvas. Her work is characterised by layered\, surreal genre scenes\, accompanied by strong palettes.

DESCRIPTION:Join country music legend Adam Harvey as he celebrates 25 years of Workin’ Overtime. \nIt’s been twenty-five years since Adam’s groundbreaking 2001 album Workin’ Overtime was released\, featuring number 1 hits such as ‘The House That Jack Built’ and ‘The Shake Of A Hand’. \nWorkin’ Overtime went on to win Album Of The Year at the 2002 Australian Country Music Awards\, and earned Adam the Male Artist Of The Year award that same evening. This cemented Adam’s place as the new wave of country music and kicked off his incredible career spanning over 20 years\, including half a million album sales\, gold and platinum albums\, 9 Golden Guitar Awards\, and most recently inducted into The Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown. \nTouring nationally in May and June to celebrate the anniversary of his Workin’ Overtime album\, this live show will feature many of the tracks from Workin’ Overtime\, all of Adam’s hits and other classic country songs that are sure to bring back some nostalgic memories. \nAdam Harvey is one of Australia’s most popular & enduring recording artists. Love Lock celebrates the binding ability of dance to move\, warn and empower\, showcasing costume design by celebrated Australian fashion designer Akira Isogawa\, layered with texture and colour\, and a score composed by UK electronic artist Clark. \nBringing The Mass Ornament by remarkable Berlin-based Spanish choreographer Fran Diaz to Australia for the first time\, this hypnotic work set to the music of Henryk Górecki reimagines Siegfried Kracauer’s seminal 1927 essay. Diaz compellingly transforms the concept of mass movement into an exploration of connection and collectivity\, where individuality coexists\, not in opposition\, but in dialogue. \nClosing the evening\, Rafael Bonachela presents The Journey Itself is Home\, a new work featuring music by Grammy Award-winning composer Bryce Dessner and inspired by 17th-century Japanese poet Matsuo Bashō. \nPlease note: Melanie Lane’s piece Love Lock was performed as part of Spellbound in November 2025. \nStay post-show for complimentary nibbles and a chance to meet the dancers.
