DESCRIPTION:This exhibition explores coexistence through overlapping spaces and perspectives\, imagining a transparent world where lives intersect simultaneously\, revealing the transient rhythms that connect human experience. \nWe traverse time in the same instant – the present. It’s a shared experience\, but everyone lives and processes it in different ways. We’re living in a simultaneous world\, from a singular perspective. What if we could turn down the opacity around us and see through buildings\, witnessing the complexities of coexistence? ‘Opacity – Living in Layers’\, imagines this world\, where spaces and faces fold through one another\, celebrating the transient rhythms that connect our perspectives. \nOpening event: Wednesday 3rd June 2026\, doors open 5\,30pm\, entry is free with RSVP. \nKels Watkins is a Central Coast based artist\, working primarily in oil on canvas. Her work is characterised by layered\, surreal genre scenes\, accompanied by strong palettes.

DESCRIPTION:The Biggest BBQ lesson is a once-in-a-generation event. A Guinness World Record attempt\, a live music celebration\, and a reimagining of Australia’s most beloved cultural ritual\, all on one day at one of the Central Coast’s most beautiful organic farms. \nOn Sunday 7 June\, electric BBQs powered by a fleet of EVs will fire up at Zestiny Farm as hundreds of participants attempt to break the world record for the largest cooking lesson. Using only ingredients grown on the farm itself\, certified organic\, paddock to plate\, everyone will learn to cook together\, raise funds for OzHarvest\, and be part of something genuinely historic. \nThen the music starts. \nFrom 1.45pm\, the stage belongs to a group of Central Coast musicians who’ve spent years earning their stripes. Ivona Rose and Seán van Doornum front the afternoon two songwriters who between them have six albums\, an SMH Album of the Week\, a career spanning Europe and New York\, and a shared conviction that Australian music is inseparable from Australian culture. Behind them\, Evan Mannell on drums — the same Evan Mannell who plays with Peter Garrett\, Missy Higgins and Jimmy Barnes — and Matt Lamb on bass\, the man who brought the OB3 together for their beloved weekly residency in Umina Beach. Together\, as part of the wider OB3 Crew\, they’ll take the crowd through Aussie anthems and classic songs from across the eras. \nThe music is free. The record is real. Pop music was evolving and artist were seeking out the ‘next sound’. We see a move away from simple beat music to pop music incorporating soul\, blues and the first stages of the new rock music. With artists like The Beatles\, the Beach Boys\, The Who\, Dusty Springfield\, The Kinks\, The Four Tops\, Bob Dylan and many many more\, it proved to be a pivotal year in the move towards the psychadelia\, hard rock and beyond of the late 60’s. \nWith a 5 piece band\, striking visuals and a little bit of a history lesson\, The Album Show will present a showcase of as many of these iconic tracks as possible in a 2 set\, 2 hour plus show!
