DESCRIPTION:WAVES invites you to an inclusive dance party on Friday 11 September from 7pm at the Central Coast Leagues Club. \nThe theme is Bridgerton (the TV show set in 1800s England) inspired dress up. Think elegant dresses with puffy sleeves\, lots of lace\, satin for women\, and fancy suits with waistcoats\, pantaloons\, fob watches for men. Be inspired by Queen Victoria or King Edward\, Gothic looks and masquerade balls (you know\, the elegant dances with masks). \nWAVES is a quarterly Dance Party for people on the Central Coast with different disabilities of all kinds\, as well as those from a diverse range of backgrounds. Sophie is one half of singer-songwriter duo Smith & Jones\, whose fourth studio will be released in 2025. Smith & Jones have supported the likes of Katie Noonan and Ella Hooper\, as well as composing and performing music for a range of theatre\, choir and visual arts projects. Smith & Jones recently toured regional NSW with theatre company Lingua Franca on a production of Mary Anne Butler’s play Highway of Lost Hearts\, for which they composed and performed the score. Sophie is well known to The Album Show audience as a lead vocalist and guitarist since 2020 in various lineups including West Coast 70s\, Petty Nicks and Sheryl Crow shows. Sophie has a passion for building community through music\, as well as mentoring and teaching young artists. \nAmy Vee is an established and award-winning songwriter and performer with extensive touring experience in Australia and internationally. Amy has moonlighted as band member for various Australian artists including Jon English\, Tim Freedman\, and Melody Pool\, all while building a solo career\, opening for touring acts such as Luka Bloom\, Passenger\, Newton Faulkner\, and Mark Seymour. Her award-winning self-penned body of work includes three solo albums\, an EP\, and several singles. Her latest offering\, Live at Lizottes\, was recorded in her hometown with a 6-piece band\, leading Australian music journalist Stuart Coupe to proclaim it “stunning\, powerful and emotive”. \nAnna Weatherup is perhaps best known for turning all four chairs on The Voice in its second season\, with her audition garnering over 1.3M views on YouTube. However\, since that time\, Anna has worked tirelessly to shape a truly unique and engaging creative identity\, gathering a loyal community of followers via her many shows and livestreams. Anna’s long-awaited album Crossing the Sea was released in 2023\, with singles making waves on the iTunes charts and garnering over 100k streams on Spotify. Anna followed by with a stripped-back live version of the album\, made for vinyl\, in late 2023. Thanks to successful crowdfunding campaign\, Anna will be releasing a new record\, titled Delusional\, in late 2025.

DESCRIPTION:Gina Jeffreys with Special Guests\nRod McCormack & Bella Mackenzie \nMulti award winning Country Music Queen Gina Jeffreys paved the way for the future of women in Australian Country Music in the 90’s\, being the first female in the history of Aussie Country to achieve platinum record sales and sell out shows across the nation. \nAfter bursting on to the scene in 1991\, when she won the iconic Starmaker\, (previous winners –Keith Urban\, Lee Kernaghan\, James Blundell) Gina quickly became the face of Australian country music. \nIn 1994\, she opened for Johnny Cash on a National tour winning the hearts of Australia.\n“From this moment on\, things really changed for me” says Gina. “I literally went from singing to 3 or 4 people in a dimly lit Sydney wine bar to standing in front of 15\,000 people a night before Johnny came out. That tour really introduced me to a fan base I would never have met and I’m so truly grateful for that. Touring with Johnny at such a young age taught me so much. Just to stand on the side of the stage every night and watch how he touched people’s hearts changed me.” \nGina went on to successfully tour Australia and many places all over the world. Visiting the troupes in East Timor was a real highlight getting to sing alongside John Farnham and Kylie Minogue. Another unforgettable moment for Gina was travelling to China in 1998. Gina represented Australia in a spectacular New Year’s Eve concert that broadcast live to over a billion people featuring artists of all genres from all over the world. \nHit songs like Girls Night Out became the anthem for country girls all over Australia\, and Gina had countless number 1 songs over her career. \nIn 2003\, Gina and husband\, record producer Rod McCormack had their son Jacky and Gina chose to step out of the spotlight to raise him. “I really never wanted to miss a kiss goodnight or a football game.” Now son Jacky has turned out just like his musician/producer dad and is playing guitar in Gina’s band and other major artists.\nAlmost 30 years after it all began\, Gina is still wowing the crowds both on stage and behind the scenes\, mentoring and penning chart topping songs for the next generation. During the last few years\, Gina has been madly writing songs with many artists\, having a bunch of songs in the top 10 with artists like Max Jackson\, The Vixens of Fall\, Courtney Keil and many more. \nAnd true to form\, as Gina learnt from Johnny Cash – pay it forward and take new young artists on the road with you.
