DESCRIPTION:Coastal Twist LGBTQIA+ Arts & Culture Festival proudly unveils “Strength in Unity” – our major new group exhibition for 2025.\nCelebrating our 5th annual LGBTQIA+ Art Exhibition\, this year’s showcase aligns with the 2025 Festival theme and brings together a powerful curation of works by professional\, mid-career\, and emerging artists from across the Central Coast. Expect a vibrant mix of ceramics\, painting\, photography\, multimedia\, and sculpture—each piece offering a unique\, locally-rooted LGBTIQ perspective with a signature Coastal Twist. \nThe exhibition will take place in the newly launched FunHaus Factory’s Basement Gallery\, a dedicated space designed to amplify bold\, diverse voices and deepen creative engagement in the heart of Gosford. \nThe exhibition also proudly includes works by young creatives aged 12–17\, as well as an all-ages category\, continuing our commitment to intergenerational artistic expression. \n“Strength in Unity” explores themes of identity\, resilience\, transformation\, and community.\nSome artists challenge the status quo through political statements. Others reflect on personal struggles and journeys to empowerment. Still others share intimate moments of change and self-discovery. Together\, these works form a rich\, honest tapestry of coastie lives and queer creativity. \nThis year\, we’re honoured to welcome celebrated artist Sandro Nocentini as guest curator. Come and see your favourite local bands as they host this collaborative experience\, enjoy guest sessions with industry professionals\, get amongst it in the open jams\, catch up with friends and make some new ones too. \nMega Jam also includes a vibrant crafternoon space! Settle into the comfy couches and get creative. Bring along your own project or dive into a rotating range of all-ages craft activities like colouring\, art\, cotton crafts\, or rock painting. No experience needed—just a love of making stuff. \nMega Jam takes place on the second Sunday of every month. Doors open at 12pm and the event starts at 2pm\, finishing at 5pm. The host bands will provide some instruments but feel free to bring yours along too. Mega Jam is a free event\, you just need to register via the website link below for each Mega Jam session. There will be live music\, dumplings\, coffee\, bar drinks on site ~ how could you not?! \nA unique art exhibition showcase 19 wonderful local women and their artistry; musical and physical artworks. \nThere will also be a charity raffle on the day where the prizes are amazing artworks that have been donated from the artists themselves\, gathering up a total worth of more than $1000. All proceeds of the ticketed raffle will be donated to @sisters_inside_inc and the winner will be announced at the end of the event before closing\, so please stick around!

Coming to sing with us is a great way to make new friends\, express yourself authentically and step out of or into your comfort zone. Whether you’re a shower singer\, a car singer\, a karaoke singer\, a professional singer or you’ve never sung around anyone else\, The Welcome Choir is here to hold a safe space for you to let yourself go and enjoy the freedom of singing. \nAt the start of each session\, you will be led through fun vocal warmups and exercises to get those vocals working perfectly by the talented\, experienced and professional singer\, Bek Jensen.
